>Breakfast: Bacon, sausage, fried eggs, mushrooms, toast, and tea.>Second Breakfast: Baked apple French toast, fruit, pastries, or scones.>Elevenses: Seed cake, muffins, tea, and apple butter.>Luncheon: Shepherd’s pie, mushroom soup, cold chicken, and bread.>Afternoon Tea: Scones, berry pie, scones, and tea.>Dinner: Roast chicken or beef, root vegetables, and pork pie.>Supper: Charcuterie with cheeses, salads, and pickled gherkins.Throw in Old Toby smoke breaks, local brewed ale and wine from the South Farthing, you think you'd be able to hold all that down?
>>219232645That's a fairly small amount of food for an average-sized person, I'd say?
>>219232857That's a lot of bread though; I'm sure you'd be lethargic and bloated halfway through the afternoon.
Depends the timeframe; how early breakfast is and the time between tea and dinner. If I was active enough in between, say, fucking your father, this would be no problem
>>219232979The reason bread bakes so fast and “lasts” so short is because it’s not very dense. I wouldn’t WANT to eat that much food, but I could easily.
>>219233314Excellent question. So the schedule goes:>Breakfast (7:00 AM): Eggs, bacon, sausages, toast, and coffee.>Second Breakfast (9:00 AM): Fruits, pastries, cheese, or savory items.>Elevenses (11:00 AM): A light snack, such as scones, cake, and tea.>Luncheon (1:00 PM): A substantial meal, including cold meats, cheese, pies, and ale.>Afternoon Tea (3:00 PM - 4:00 PM): Tea, cakes, and sandwiches.>Dinner (6:00 PM): The largest meal, featuring roast chicken, potatoes, and vegetables.>Supper (9:00 PM): A final, cozy, light meal, such as soup, bread, and ale>>219233407Like, I just figure all the pastries and pies and such would just be nothing but carbs. I mean, they farm and garden and party and such, but I don't think hobbits were all that active. How would not pass out half way through the day, especially when you're about 4 foot tall?
>>219233496>How would not pass out half way through the dayThey probably did though.
>>219233517I guess they just kinda would, wouldn't they? How the fuck did they ever get anything done?
>>219233554What was The Baggins’s agricultural policy?
>>219233554What do they have to do? They just garden for the most part. Seems like Bilbo and his Took relatives inherited all their stuff as well from back when Hobbits were more vigorous. Economies are a bit weird in Middle Earth. You can have an affluent town with almost zero industry. Maybe that's to be expected in a world where there are leftover treasures everywhere.
It reads like Henry VIII’s diet. I bet most of them had gout.
Definitely not a human diet. Midgets have a higher metabolism so maybe it's something along those lines and they're dense as fuck
>>219233763>and they're dense as fuckYou're a midget?
>>219233615They farm pipe tobacco and trade it with Bree.
>>219233791I'm 5'10" bro, an inch above the average male height. So I'm classed as tall.
>>219233952Grand Duke of manlets
>>219233496my take is that this is the variety of food they serve on the table. The guy eating it picks only one or two table spoons of each, or say for second breakfast a slice of cheese on monday, but a pastry on tuesday. basically just enough to keep you going until the next meal. the gardening work in-between will make them hungry again though
>vegetables can be high in purinesresearch shows they do not increase gout risk like animal-based foods dokewl
How do they have the time to make all of this food, or time to do anything else?
>>219234285They have no crime.
