>Destroys Star Wars>Destroys Star Trek>Dissapoints gajillions with Lost's unresolved mystery box slopHas anyone done more to ruin science fiction?
Who blamed JJ for Lost? He was literally just an idea guy that fucked off after the first season.
>>219251343he was co-creator and executive producer throughout
>>219251343He was still in charge.
Star Trek 2009, Cloverfield and 10 Cloverfield Lane were all very good
>>219253857>Vulcan has no moon.If you understand the context of that quote, then you know how poorly the characters were written.>Vulcan within visual range of Delta Vega.Absolute trash.>Literally depicting driving a 1960s classic off of a cliff.Demonstrating his complete contempt for the fandom. No, Star Trek 2009 was not very good imho.
>>219251343retards. Lost is the greatest show ever made and all of the things people (mistakenly) bitch about were Carlton Cuse or Damon Lindeloff's ideas
>>219255843You're mental. Report for re-conditioning stat.
>>219251764>>219251920>retarded zoomers don't know what tv production titles mean
>>219250920>Has anyone done more to ruin science fiction?Alex Kurtzman and it’s not even close.
>>219250920He kinda saved Star Trek for a little while, during the quiet mid-2000s to mid-2010s era of otherwise a decade of inactivity for Star Trek.
>>219259985Kurtzman is a strong contender.
>>219260459I mean Jar Jar Abrams’ Trek reboot movies made money, even if the third one threw technical canon out the window and was irredeemable trash written by retards who had no understanding of the IP (Hi Simon Pegg!). But Kurtzman got handed the keys to the kingdom and instead of creating a vision of unity despite difference- one of Trek’s core principles- he insisted on importing current-day identity politics and its petty grievances. This stained the IP’s fundamentally optimistic vision of the future, implying that in 200 years’ time, we still have racism, sexism, and all the other ism bugbears so fundamental to contemporary progressivism’s core values. I noted with displeasure that it was redolent with the wrung-out tropes of girlbossery and male incompetence. People back in the day (TOS, TNG, original movies) used to love that a crew of different cultures, beliefs, abilities and personalities all brought something to the stew. Kurtzman’s Trek was a continuation in spirit of VOY and its stupid canon rewrites, but with the stupidity turned up to 11.Kurtzman effectively said “I don’t care what Trekkers want, I’m making these shows for the modern grievance politics audience” and then none of them showed up. Endlessly negative and pessimistic, obsessed with differences not united by similarities, disrespectful of command hierarchies (meritocracy really pisses off the (((well connected))) for obvious reasons), and full of stupid Whedonesque shit to try to leaven the whole turd-cake. Yeah Kurtzman can go suck a dick. He deserved to get shitcanned for the utter fucking trash fire he turned Star Trek into.
