What’s the 7 String Guitar of cinema?
>>219253995The seven-string is the peak of guitar range and design. I love sixes as much as anyone else, but aside from the range of 7s being kino, 7s increase your voicing and tuning options so much it’s unreal. 8s are great but they are less practical (regardless of if you go higher, lower, or are doing the very rare pure open chord or whole tunings) than 7s.7s have the best of everything and look great.
>>219254175What kind of music do you play with it?
>>219254393You don't, you simple indulge in the feelings of superiority you get from owning one. Playing music is for the Poor People with Lesser Guitars.

>>219254175>t. metal youtuber djent shitter
>>219254479I just assumed it's for metal or some shit like that. I play jazz/classical finger style and probably wouldn't get anything out of it
>>219253995The kino headstock is the reverse headstock, doesn't matter the brand.
>>219254393Quite a bit of different stuff. It started with metal for me as it does for most ERG players, but I’ve used them in a lot of different contexts. I used to play for a legacy pop artist who shall remain nameless, and she and the band loved it (it’s a lot of fun for key players and 5 string bass players to play together with an ERG player). I did a session with a guy who didn’t like rock guitar who loved the sound of clean 7 string guitar when I put it some open tuning and played some classical stuff. I’ve played them in an indie rock context too.
>>219253995Probably pic related
70mmTryhard but still cool
>>219254638Reverse headstocks are superior both aesthetically and practically.

>>219254510Djent players typically use 8 strings.
>>219256708>Djent players typically use only the eight string in their 8 guitarftfy
>>219254634Yep, it's pretty much exclusively for metal. Some do incorporate them into rock music -- see: Muse - Citizen Erased
>>219254729link a song or two that use 7 string guitar effectively
>>219256667Playing guitar is 90% aesthetics, 9% instrument quality, and 1% knowing what you're doing.
>>219257177Not that anon - bands like Tye O Negative would use 6 string baritone guitars instead of 7 strings. Many prog metal bands use 7 strings so they can swap between heavy rhythm playing while still not sacrificing any versatility for guitar solos or leads.

>>219256667Doesn't do anything for intonation, that's what your bridge adjustments are for. It helps with actually tuning since it's easier to reach the bottom than the top.>t. 6 string chad
