Janeway was the first thing I can recall of them doing the "gurlpowr; stichk by making a female captain in a showand movie series that has always had male ones. They also made her look and sort of act like a female Kirk. Total waste and blatant agenda propagandaPiccard was great, Diplomat to Kirks charismatic bravado, gave us a nice change while still being awesome.TL/DR Janeway sucks.

>>219274490The real answer is Sisko. Picard is a superior diplomat but Sisko is the better all around officer, particularly in wartime, and still manages to be an accomplished diplomat himself. Janeway isn't even a good captain let alone "greatest", the entire premise of her show is founded on her lack of good judgement and leadership. Reminder that there is an episode where even her starfleet crew, even Tuvok, directly disobey her orders and go around her back to try and get home faster because Janeway is such a poor officer and has such poor judgement that even Tuvok couldn't let it stand. There is at least one such "Janeway is a bad captain" decision in every season, often more than one.
