To quote Bruce Dickinson, Frank Herbert was a cunt.

He's right. Star Wars is cultural poison.
>>
>dude like *hits spice* what if everyone was disingenuous about everything and it was all fake and gay

Then why didnt he sure Lucas? When you are sure that someone ripped you off, you sue. But if you are just talking shit and have doubts you will win a court case because your arguement is weak....well, that sounds like what happened here.

I was rrrrraping Frank Herbert, raping like this.
>>
>Some of the action in the book-and in the movie-takes place on a sandy, desolate planet inhabited by nomadic scavengers who are pursued by enormous sand creatures.
>enormous sand creatures
Was there anything like it in Star Wars, especially in the first edition??? Did he just make shit up?

It's pretty undeniable that Star Wars lifts a bunch of ideas from Dune. The Bene Jedi science-magic antichrist stuff and the emperor that sees the future for instance.

Regarding 'plagiarism' i respect artists like Michael Moorcock who is too antagonistic towards copyright to get his panties in a bunch over the witcher ripping him off.

More people plagiarized star wars than dune
It's a fact

And that's a good thing.

Frank also ripped off another book while writing Dune.

Dune page 1:
>The main character opened his eyes. He had a dream where he was a prophet and led the sand people to victory. Actually it wasn't a dream. It was the truth and it is going to happen in the next 1,000 pages. Yes this is how the book ends, there is no tension, I'm literally telling you this kid is going to be the king of sand people and he won't die because he is already having prophetic visions of shit I'm gonna write about in 900 pages time.

truly dogshit author.
