Why is this degenerate tranny slop so popular among soiennials and Gen Xers?

I usually love "cult films" and weird B-movies but this shit sucked. It's also just way too gay, don't see how any straight man could watch it without wanting to vomit

Catchy songs and Tim Curry is fun.
I like Meatloafs song
>>
Sarandon tits

The songs are extremely well-written and catchy. Seriously, I know all of them off by heart just hearing them second hand as a kid. Despite knowing the lyrics by memory it wasn't until singing along to them as an adult that it sunk it just how fucked up they are.
Filmmakers and creatives used to have talent and that's how they were able to implement their propaganda subtly or dressed up in deceptive and appealing manners. Nowadays they just bluntly beat you over the head with it.

How would you feel if you had theory of mind?

He'll never know, too busy searching around for gay shit to get mad and virtue signal about

>soiennials

you're supposed to watch it in the theater, it's a whole show with the audience. Go find a local theater that does it.
>>
>>219279591
i heard trannys dont like the movie and find it offensive
>>
>>219279591
Because those types are obsessed with muh camp which is one of the worst things gays brought upon the masses next to AIDS

Thank you so much for giving me an excuse to shill my video essay. I think it's beloved because it consciously appealed to our desire for transgression, but subconsciously appealed to our fear of it being taken too far.

>Fragile bigot can’t handle and appreciate a great musical
>>
I watched it as a kid and I thought it was a comedy. A guy singing about being a "transvestite" was fucking HILARIOUS to me, I didn't really register that there were people who seriously wanted to be like these characters.

>zoomer containment thread
Good. Stay here
>>
>>219279591
mainstream enough thanks to Tim Curry in main role, so people know of it
obscure enough to be presented as some kind of "hidden gem cult classic B-movie"
>>

Har dee har har this is fucking embarrassing as shit kek. Thank you for sharing this faggots retarded slop because surely this isn’t actually you.. right? I mean there’s no way someone would be this embarrassingly lacking in self awareness
>>
>>219282511
It's me. What about it do you dislike?
>>
>>219279591
Can you make an actual fundamental criticism of the film, such as writing, direction, cast, etc, or are you just going to say "DEGENERATE TRANNY SLOP" and expect us to all clap like retarded seals?
>>
>>219282382
I'm a regular bigot.
>>
>>219279591
It was our 'Chicken Jockey' and people ran with it.
>>
>>219282623
this, when I saw the videos of teenagers all yelling "CHICKEN JOCKEY!" the first thing I thought of was being in the theater for Rocky Horror and the crowd yelling "ASSHOLE! SLUT!"

Reading through this thread I think most anons just watched it at home and don't understand what made this movie popular. Many places have a theater that will do weekly or monthly showings of this and I recommend checking it out (or at least it was like that 20 years ago, idk if that culture kept up)
>>
>>219282541
Pretty much everything. How autistic does one need to be to not be horrified about putting something that embarrassing out there, I’m almost jealous of the complete lack of shame and self awareness. Must be a blissfully ignorant existence
>>
>>219279591
It's almost quaint by today's standards.
I think the creator got in trouble for saying trannies were going to far.
