Why haven't we gotten a Hotline Miami tv show or movie yet?

Aside from a few stylized fight scenes and some trippy hallucinatory ones, there's not much there for a full-length anything. It might make for a decent short film though.

For me the narrative sequences were an unwelcome intrusion on the shooting, and fuck that forced stealth level in the hospital.

They could do a TV series using plots from both games. It could start in 1989, shown from both Jacket's and Richter's perspective, there would be some war flashbacks where we see Beard and the Fans, then it would move on to the 1991 storyline.
