The problem in UK specifically is they want a Caste System but cannot legally allow it so they find new ways to screw poorer classes. Also to be fair the poorer classes constantly want things that would objectively ruin Britain and this friction is getting worse all the time as High Classes allow immigration to spite the Low Classes but it turns out to be a downward spiral. I love Veep and The Thick of It but I like Veep more. My experience is that the greatness of TTOI is almost entirely down to one character where Veep has many great characters so it feels stronger and more rounded. And side character Splett has arguably the best lines!
