The watered down version of The Thick of It for burgers.
>>
9/10

>>219282896
Very well written but begins to feel a bit repetitive at times. Also has an air of pretension about it.
>>
Is it just me or was the first season or so "smarter"?

>>219282896
Just another millennial comedy that's too impressed with itself.

I have no idea how british politics work or what the different ranks or anything mean. It's gibberish to me.

They all just put on wigs and yell at each other.

You think they don't explain the story as it's unfolding?

Wtf are those subtitles?

Soulless Democrat propaganda/10

Watched 3.5 episodes and went back to my umpteenth Charlie era Two and a Half Men rewatch/10. I'm sure there's something there. JLD can be likeable and funny, and the premise comes with a bottomless well of stuff you could do, it just didn't click with me at all.

You can barely tell what political affiliation they are, and they never name names nor do they even make a partisan distinction until the presidential election arc. And they mix and mash issues between the two sides.
It’s honestly one of the tactfully done shows which depict politicians that I’ve seen

European politics are extremely labyrinthine and confusing on purpose to keep citizens outside of it. This is to hopefully prevent a World War type event. That is my theory about it. The problem in UK specifically is they want a Caste System but cannot legally allow it so they find new ways to screw poorer classes. Also to be fair the poorer classes constantly want things that would objectively ruin Britain and this friction is getting worse all the time as High Classes allow immigration to spite the Low Classes but it turns out to be a downward spiral. Its basically like a bad marriage you beat your wife, she kills your pets. on and on

I love Veep and The Thick of It but I like Veep more. My experience is that the greatness of TTOI is almost entirely down to one character where Veep has many great characters so it feels stronger and more rounded. And side character Splett has arguably the best lines!

i want to fuck julia louis dreyfus in her presidential pantsuit costume/10

>>219282896
about 7.5 as mentioned>>219283953 it gets a bit repetitive and sometimes the swearing fells too much but very funny nonetheless
