If you want to call the show shit, just call all of it shit. There's no "new" show. Nothing has changed - the humour, the format, everything. It's one of those rare instances of a genuine continuation.

Maybe it's because they don't give one joke a lot of breathing room so the show seems like it is taking its time, when really it is just unevenly distributing the time. At least in the later seasons a lot of scenes start with two characters, then a third or fourth character walks in on them talking and the next segment begins from there. Typical cafeteria\coffee shop scenes. Editing is an art I guess.
