Upon rewatch the quality really drops after season 5. The show feels significantly different afterwards, with no Francis storylines and him only appearing sporadically after they reset his character development, with most of the extended cast like Malcolm's schoolmates barely appearing, and with the main characters feeling increasingly Flanderized.
