Is TWD worth watching?
>>219292798you're 16 years too late anon :(
>>219292798Not beyond the first 3 or 4 seasons.
>>219292798yes but you should stop the moment the humans turn into the real monsters
>>219292843You only watch shows released in current year?
>>219292875>Not beyond the first 3&4 seasonsWas that where the governor/prison arc ended?
>>219292992yeah
>>219292798yes but only a few seasons
>>219292798Yes. Watch every minute of the first 5 seasons. After that it starts to get bloated down with too many shitty characters/dumb storylines but you can skip through parts you don't like. There is still some kino in the later seasons.
watchable slop with some "turn your brain off" moments. not great, not terrible
>>219292798As someone who also started a first time watch in 2026, I would say no. There is just too much bad in-between what good there is. It barely has enough good material to make for 6 or 7 watchable episodes each season and yet every season after the first is 16 episodes long. I've quit now that I've reached a specific death that a lot of people call the peak of the series, and to its credit its well done, but everything I've been told is that it gets worst from there and I already thought it was pretty mediocre.Maybe watch season 1 and 2, but even that has some tedium and stupidity in it, but I can't honestly say its worth getting to season 7 where I quit. There are good scenes and episodes in 3,4,5,6, and 7 but god is there so much bullshit too.
>>219294080WD is cursed because it was made to be watched one episode per week. It was never meant to be binged. When you stack it all up season to season it exposes the repetition and lazy writing. But back in the day when we watched it episode by episode it could bank on “build up”. And even though every single season finale was a huge let down, the hype up for the next season somehow brought people back.
>>219294157Anybody watching right now for the first time is missing out on one of the best things about TWD: comfy Sunday night /tv/ live watch threads>ayrig
>>219294617It’s the only show I’ve ever watched episode by episode. I’m pretty lazy with TV and just wait for the season to finish before I start, or I simply don’t have time to catch each episode. Season 1-2 when it first came out was an incredible time to be a teenager. WD paired with Deadliest Warrior and doomsday preppers was kino.
>>219292798For me the show got really boring around the prison/governor conflict, then it picked up again when they got to Alexandria and it quickly became boring again.
