How should you go about making a film adaptation of a Shakespeare play? Should you try to depict the full scale of the play's story not possible in a theater, or should you keep the scale more intimate as written? And is it better to try to adhere strictly to the time period the play is set in or is timeshifting it to another era fine?
people who are not me have touched Sadie and that's just not fair
>>219294877Do whatever you want. The "straight" version has been done. Whatever play it is, it's been done.
The Baz Luhrmann way.
gotta love that Sadie's doing Shakespeare on the West End and Millie is stuck doing terrible Netflix movies
>>219300635Millie is getting paid seven figures for those movies.
>>219294877Sadie has "it"
>>219301887By it, do you mean my caramel fuck stick? Or by it, do you mean stage presence?
>>219300635Millie doesn't seem to care about acting apart from the money, I doubt she is crying about missing on doing 2 shows per day, 6 days a week, for a fraction of the pay
>>219302970yeah that would lose her valuable product shilling on instagram time

>>219300410It's weird that you say that. His style could have saved the new Hamlet
>>219304353What new Hamlet?
>>219294877Do something different. The "standard, traditional" version has been done with far more established theatrically trained actors than you have access to in this day and age, so copying it will just come off as an imitation. The MacBeth one from a few years ago that was all weird red and oranges and quite abstract was good.
