Any scenes in television and film that make you say this?
>>219310895No, I only watch what I need to watch
>>219310895Sex scenes (not to be confused with hot casual nudity by a pretty woman, which we need more of)
>>219310895>after spending the entire day watching youtube essays
>>219310895The opening scene of Love Lies Bleeding. I was eating, too.
>>219310895Any penis
>>219310895The entirety of Godfather Part III. A post-credits scene of Michael dying alone would have sufficed, but then that would've "cheapened" the film I guess. I still don't know what the cousin incest subplot is all about. Do greaseball shitalians really fuck their first cousins?
>>219310895Everything in The Boys after season 2. (I dropped it after 3).
>>219310895Sex scenes, blacks, trannies, women talking
>>219310895>gore for the sake of the goreboring, if i want see to gore i just search 5 min for cartel videos
>>219310895Latest episode of invincible where he’s getting his guts pulled out for like a minute straight, went from effective violence to making me wonder ‘how long are this dude’s intestines’
>NosferatuPretty much the whole movie. Shit was embarrassing. Only thing that made it worthwhile was this dude with his girlfriend chuckling a few times throughout the movie, exclusively when Lily-Rose Depp was... "acting"
>>219311851I'm about as desensitized as a person can be when it comes to on screen gore. I've seen the worst of the worst. I have very little stomach for the real stuff anymore. It's all ultimately the same and it's bad for the psyche. Fake movie/tv gore is fine if it's used to serve a purpose but as you said far too often it's just used for bland "shock value". The Boys which I mentioned is a good example of this. It's one thing early on when they're using gory scenes to drive home how far the crew is willing to go, or how evil Homelander is. After about the 20th time, seeing Homelander brutally dismember someone isn't doing anything for his character or the audience. That's my problem with his character specifically and why I stopped watching that show. By about the second season he had already been demonstrated to be irredeemably bad. Why do we need these constant reminders of how cruel and bad he is other than just cheap thrills when the guts come out? It's so lame and uninspired.
