it's a fun comedy but it's really bad at being a "comedy with serious and dramatic moments". It should have been 30 minutes shorter, especially towards the end there's a lot of pretentiously long scenes that could use a trim

>>219318596The beginning was just evanescent, transitory zoomer nihilism. The middle was a complete rip-off of the Safdie brothers. The end was a grafted on attempt at authenticity with the Russian guy who lives with his grandma and totally doesn't sell drugs and drives a car you would never actually see anymore but meant to invoke nostalgia or meaning. Garbage all around. When compared to the Florida Project which is actually a good movie its sad this is the Sean Baker film that will be remembered.
