First two seasons were excellent.Season three was writers strike.Season four is where the scope of the story started to exceed the budget.Season four is also where it became like x files, meaning that the standalone episodes are far better than the plot advancing ones.
I hate how everything past season 5 started getting super bright and colorful. it was lame as fuck. By the end of the show it looked like a fucking soap opera.

>>219321383I watched it weekly for like 8-9 years when I was younger but dropped it after that. Came back to it a few years ago to see if I could finish it and it's so fucking bad. The "emotional" scenes are corny as hell, the completely empty gas tank as far as ideas go, the inability to write a story within the constraints of their budget (Michael and Lucifer exchanging adobe after effects kamehameha for example). My favorite parts were the monster of the week episodes tbqh. The earlier mythology episodes were also pretty good until the scope creep became too much.
