The Dark Knight is actually a really stupid film that, like every Christopher Nolan movie, gets worse on re-watches and with time.
A Nolan flick is like Taco Bell, or a Little Caesars pizza: there’s a lot to enjoy when it’s new, but people get carried away because they enjoyed something seemingly so straightforward… but it’s not because of quality, rather because of the novelty and “fresh”-ness, both of which wear off quickly with time.
You see the same thing with Tarantino movies but he’s on a slightly higher tier, perhaps an Olive Garden.

It's peak "muh gritty realism" as far as movie adaptions of things go.

>complaining about analogies that help you understand the point
>as opposed to using an analogy people won’t fucking understand, defeating the point
You’re a stupid nitpicking niggerfaggot moron.
To cap it off:
>complains
>doesn’t provide an alternative or a superior method
Just fuck yourself, jackass.
Your mom raised a fucking retard. Slap her.

>help you understand the point
You’re projecting. Use your big boy words
>DUHHH I DONT LIKE DARK KNIGHT CAUSE DAT LIKE EATING BWOCCOWWI BWOCCOWI ICKY AND DATS MY POINT
see that’s how fucking stupid you sound

“Big boy words”
Try comprehending things instead of whining like a woman would.

Actually Taco Bell is great. When it’s hot, and fresh. Not the next day.
The same goes for Nolan films, every single re-watch is like another day the taco bell has been sitting in the fridge before you re-heat it to lesser and lesser degrees of success.

That’s right, I capped it off. You wish you could.

Nolan makes movies that are designed to be experienced at a good theater first and foremost. Same deal with James Cameron and Avatar. Of course they’re not going to have the same impact when you rewatch them at home.

Avatar is a perfect comparison actually
>experience the spectacle in 3D-HD
>no idea what will happen (Pocahontas? Avatar: the Last Airbender ripoff?)
>it’s satisfying and enjoyable
>every rewatch it gets worse
Every Cameron film is like this too, barring Titanic.

I don’t think this applies to Aliens

I know a lot of people like that one but I saw it once and genuinely could not be arsed to ever see it again. It’s… very boring. For whatever reason I have this reaction to most of his movies, and the same with Michael Bay films: despite the “spectacle” and bigness of set pieces, it comes off boring to me.
All I remember from Aliens is shots of the bullets in the auto-machineguns going down and automatically killing Aliens by the hundreds and uh… maybe these characters I don’t give a crap about will die?
>they die
There’s no stakes to any of it. I don’t care if ripley saves a little girl. The whole thing is just stupid.
