The Dark Knight is actually a really stupid film that, like every Christopher Nolan movie, gets worse on re-watches and with time.A Nolan flick is like Taco Bell, or a Little Caesars pizza: there’s a lot to enjoy when it’s new, but people get carried away because they enjoyed something seemingly so straightforward… but it’s not because of quality, rather because of the novelty and “fresh”-ness, both of which wear off quickly with time.You see the same thing with Tarantino movies but he’s on a slightly higher tier, perhaps an Olive Garden.
