as someone who lived in PNW for 27 years before moving I've gotta say the rainfall that we're famous for is over stated unless you live in parts of the coast. I lived in eugene and portland, mostly the former and summer is incredibly dry thats expected but even in our rainy seasons you rarely get actual rain storms and you more just get regular drizzling or just a decent amount of rain for the week but no continuous downpour. Its jarring going somewhere like the south and seeing their rainstorms because thats what people act like Oregon gets. I currently live in the Northeast and now get full seasons, I like the snow, I LOVE rainstorms in the summer, that is so much better than the droughts in the west, but the weird thing over here is fall is dry? I've come to accept it because I'm happy to hav diverse seasons but getting to september and not only do the thunderstorms stop but it basically becomes the dry season is very weird to me. I continue my quest for the perfect rainy state, if I was wealthy and could live in a nice neighborhood I might legit live in New Orleans, now thats a good amount of rain.
