I still don’t understand the appeal of british humor, sorry.
>>219342948why make a thread about it? or is this just another "europoor vs amerimutt" (((D&C))) thread?
Alan pretends to be retardedStephen pretends to be gayIt's as shrimple as that
>>219342948Not enough nut shots and jokes about white privilege for you, Miguel?
>>219342948If you don't get it now, you never will
>>219342948it's mostly pedos being sarcastic
>Mom... Dad... This is Stephen, you may have seen him on the telly!
>>219342948>Alan wrote in his autobiography that he got molested by his dad. It's really weird watching old episodes and seeing him casually bring up light childhood anecdotes about his dad.
I'll never understand the appeal of Stephen Fry at least
>>219343376most people get molested, it's not that big a deal
>>219343850>most people get molested, it's not that big a deal
>>219343568giant dandy poof
>>219344174And this is a reason to watch someone?
>>219342948>smug nonce pretends he knows everything at celebrity panelists
>>219343192Blokes being dudes.
>>219343568Stately homo.In actual fact a spiteful yid who increasingly cannot keep it under control.
I only liked QI in the first season or two when the format (surprise, the obvious answer is in fact NOT correct) caught people off guard. It quickly became a parody of itself.
>>219342948It will eventually come out that this cunt molested little boys. I guarantee it.
>>219343258Let's be honest, if it was a chick that young we'd be giving the guy a high five.
>>219351525he wrote a novel about it, there's no way he hasn't done it.
>>219342948For starters, it's funny.That's a big part of it.
>>219351468The new host is awful. She's a lesbian and by god, she lets you know it.
Man, British panel shows are weird now. It's just people who were famous and with it 30 years ago who are now incredibly old, and some Pakistani sitting there making cracks about white people every second line, as is mandated. It's eerie. Haunted television. It's an impression of a thing people remember, but it sure is not that thing.
>>219343568he was in some good television in the 80's, and then coasted by being a "national treasure" and a quirky gay uncle.
>>219361268>national treasureThat's Nick Cage
>>219343850
>>219343568An intelligent person, I assume. Then replaced by a fat lesbian woman. Same thing lol.
>>219343258Wow, Britain really need Islam to fix their country
>>219342948cmon>The limerick, which Fry recited as the last item of the comedy quiz show, went:>"There was a young chaplain from King's>Who talked about God and such things;>But his real desire>Was a boy in the choir>With a bottom like jelly on springs."now are you telling me you don't find that joke relatable at all? You don't think it's funny to make a little rhyme out of what we all feel but can't talk about?
>>219343568They have this thing in England called a "national treasure". It's a uniquely English phenomenon where, if there's a celebrity whose popularity makes no sense, and who actually makes you kind of uncomfortable, like you feel suspicious about them, you pretend that you like them too so that you don't come across as a spoilsport. And you don't want to get cornered on what you like about them so you just act like it's some overwhelming ineffable thing and call them a "national treasure". But everyone is doing the pretending while thinking that everyone else actually likes the person. Of course there are people like who use the redd site who get their internal thoughts directly from reading other people's statements with no reflection, so they do genuinely like the national treasure people, insofar as a non-mind can genuinely hold any belief
>>219363806It's not that hard. People genuinely liked Stephen Fry because he was really good in Blackadder, and Hugh and Laurie, and he's been getting by on that for decades. He just shows up and people go "look it's Stephen Fry", and they're satisfied.Americans have this too. You have Shatner and Danny Devito. All of those actors who were in the Godfather and haven't done anything good in forever.
>>219342948Is it a dolphin in a bathtub?
>>219342948>reads trivia and facts from a teleprompter with a posh accentomg stephen fry is so smart! He's like a professor or something!
>>219342948It's basically this in a nutshell,https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2z-AdzgKjY
>>219361206It's weird how it's basically the same people as 30 years ago, making the same jokes. Which of Baudrillard's 4 phases of the image is this?
>>219342948What is your type of humour, give us some examples of comedies you like?
>>219342948this dogshit keep getting spammed in my yt feed
Very comfy show, I miss Steven. Hate the "new" host >Did you know I'm Danish and a lesbian?
>>219365377I believe it's phase Numberwang
>>219365611national security, old school, talladaga nights, best in show, schindler's list
>>219343258I mean they are already gay so who cares, when I'm in my 60s I would like to bang a 30 year old woman.
i dont think their is anything laziers than british panel shows, they are practically podcasts before podcasts
