Unironically how would you make this into movie?
>>219344863Maybe after a decade of grassroots audience development.
i wouldnt make anything. i would just enjoy the backrooms. which is what no one did.
>>219344863Hollywood, of course, is making this an empty and vapid "we must save the nigger damsel from da evil honkey backrooms"
>>219344863Basically this but going through a bunch of backrooms levels and taking out every monster
>>219345111Based and checked
>>219344863A whole movie of almond water collecting
Make it like found footagehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4dGpz6cnHo&list=PLVAh-MgDVqvDUEq6qDXqORBioE4Yhol_zprobably as like a web seriesoh wait
>>219345344this specific SCP rip-off was hilarious, there was a literal gay fanfic ARG in the wiki that was hidden in and spanned numerous pages, it was a toxic romance between two entities
>>219345432This but unironically. Making it like a regular movie makes it more boring and derivative, while also just damaging plot progression and mystery by the fact that it will show other characters beyond the main character and feature exposition. Now we're just going to get some people running from generic monsters in a maze.
>>219345344Why did almond water become a thing?
>>219346927The reason for it to exist there? So people in the backrooms can survive. The reason it was chosen? Probably because it has a slight yellow tint to it, just like the backrooms. Or because it was an obscure old water brand.
>>219347278
>>219344863i wouldn't i'd just listen
>>219345111I'd watch the fuck out of that.
>>219344863Already been done
>>219345344Video game terms just breaks any sense of immersion. Dumb writing. Also, if something is unknown you don't have to keep listing everything unknown about it.
why wouldn't you just mess with the ceiling tiles????you could at least build a fort or use pieces of them as bread crumbs while you wander around
stranger things has completely raped this type of storytelling anyway. the movie will definitely give bad vibes because of it
Make it a video game where you just kill all the spooky things zoomers are terrified about
>>219349152you can still noclip while inside even if it appears safe. You'll just end up somewhere else deeper.
>>219344863I don't know why this is attributed to that /x/ post when the backrooms was a video game joke about noclipping. The name backrooms at least.
>>219344863There are two possible ways to make this that I can think of>option 1Found footage, semi-comical but still scary style. Along the lines of grave encounters, as above so below, Rec. So an emphasis on chaos breaking out pretty early, and a lot of chase scenes for a medium-large cast. >option 22deep4u experimental stuff. Either a lone character or very few, mostly psychological and visuals. You would need some kind of artfag genius for this so it's not easy to pull off. To be clear I don't "the monster is a metaphor for mental illness", rather something where the horror itself is quite abstract like that Skinnamarink movie. I think in both scenarios you need to expand the backrooms to be more than just yellow rooms though. 90 minutes of yellow rooms will simply be visually sickening.
>>219344863better answer me this, OP, must every> book> comic> shitpost on /x/> reddit meme> ideabecome a 90-minute hollywood genre flick? or are we allowed to simply skip one once in a while?
>>219349319>An official Kane Pixels video game where you play as Marvin, who fully intends on destroying the Complex and Async to avenge Peter>The darkness inside of Async is what pushes Marvin to take out all the lifeforms, the walls, and trained Async ballistic department insurgents to reach Ivan Beck>...TO DESTROY THE BACKROOMS ONCE AND FOR ALL>FOR PETER TENCH
>>219344863The youtube series by the same young man who is directing the movie is a good start, but it safe to say most people in /tv/ haven't watched it and only think the movie will be based on wiki shit like this >>219345344
>>219344863Put a bunch of niggers, trannies, and faggots in it and call it a day
>>219349865I like _____ and i like movies so combine them
I'm not watching it if the film doesn't have a soundtrack designed to give the audience panic attacks
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7xL5bJTmgcfor those needing a primer on backrooms lore ^
>>219344863Minimalist.>have only one person no-clip at random into it, with little-to-no bullshit about their real life beforehand>have the story not be so much about them but the environment itself, they're just reacting to it for human relatability>maybe they run into another person - maybe ... or evidence of other people trapped in the Backrooms, but keep the population to an absolute minimum, ideally one.>this forces creativity in terms of the environment and how it's used>have them react to the shit going on as realistically as possibleYou'd react like a prey animal in the jungle basically. Being very careful and checking around every corner. You might stay put for a long time once the situation seems hopeless. Try to double-back and find a way out where you started, get driven forward by noises or monsters, get into point-of-no-return situations.ie. You would act logically, and carefully, unless panicked by an actual threat, etc.>first thing you'd do is go looking around like it's a normal building but perplexed as to exactly how you got there>then you'd start to realise you're not in Kansas anymore and something was really, really not right>then you'd start to get scared for real, try to find your way back, and get anxious if you couldn't>if you found your way back to the start you'd try to figure out how you got there in the first place>you'd try to think about what happened, try a few hypotheses, like did you fall through the ceiling or something and didn't notice the hole, did you get drugged and dumped or forgotten or something>you might try to wait until someone comes for you or finds you>you'd have no success and then be resigned to looking for another way out>weird sounds or monsters would drive you forward in a panic>you'd try to solve logically how to get out a number of ways>when you finally got to an outside level you'd feel relief but soon realise the 'outside' was weird and you're still 'inside' the Backrooms>etc.

>>219352496>"where are we? some kind of backrooms?"
Think about the start of a Dracula film. Do you need Johnathan Harker walking up to Dracula's castle Marvel-quipping about how 'gnarly dude' the spoopy castle and foggy Transylvania is, or do you want the scenario itself to do the talking? You want shit to be more the like the start of the original 'Silent Hill 2' vidya where faggot is walking down the foggy path hearing weird shit, than the fucking Scooby Gang all talking about what a 'groovy' mystery this is.Bottom line: You need shit like this just HAPPENING rather people TALKING about what is happening:https://youtu.be/YnnYLKGQK58?t=2161
>>219344863I wonder how the guy who originally wrote this feels about how it's blown up, does he even own a copyright?
>>219345344Fucking trannies
>>219357040Yeah he gets paid a janny salary every single time you start a thread about it.
Post your reaction when he's in the post-credits.
>>219357040No, he'd actually need to have written the screenplay or produced a series like Kane did.You can't copyright writing idea/concepts like you can't copyright Chord progressions.Only the melody matters and for this. He'd need a whole lot more than replying to an image with a single paragraph>also isn't he just ripping off the infinite ikea scpThat guy has more of a stake than him lmao
