Not saying much but it was better than last year's The Materialists, also more memorable than Project Hail Mary. It wouldn't have caused all that drama though, especially the near cheating.
I give it 3/5.

There is no way a straight man is interested in seeing this movie on his own

Pattinson is a handsome frankenstein.

This angers me for some reason.

I wasn't really all that interested but I like going to the theater and seeing new movies and it's the low season.

Not sure what you mean.

I saw the trailer and it looked unbelievably generic and boring

I really like Robert Pattinson but not in a gay way

Isn't he like an old man compared to her? Why aren't women screeching about muh pedophilia like they do with Leo?

He's only ten years older, that's nothing.

I love the whole subgenre of cringe meltdowns happening at important events like in Melancholia, Succession, etc. This has a 10/10 cringe wedding scene.

Puritans out of control.

Had never heard of him before this movie ngl.

Based.

Haven't seen it but talked about it with a friend of mine and the premise just doesn't justify the drama and his reaction to it.

Is he still with her?

Got too old. Many such cases.

The subject matter and it being Close-Ups: The Film reminded me of the meme social anxiety painting

fucking hilarious. me and my wife loved it.

Patz should get a Best Actor nom if the movie gets pushed a bit harder since the plot and production are small-scale

Not a great film but a pleasant surprise. It’s a comedy of manners which satirises liberal over-socialization and its consequences: excessive theatrics, perfomative behaviours and cancel culture. It depicts the professional-managerial class as a bunch of neurotic freaks who constantly outmanoeuvre each other through passive-aggressive therapy talk and moralisation. Zendaya is okay but Pattinson is absolutely phenomenal, one of his best performances ever. Gorgeous cinematography, admirable editing and sound design but the directing felt too unnecessarily stylish. Also the writer-director sometimes gets too lazy and gives us glimpses of scenes instead of writing proper setups and payoffs. If he wants to adopt an elliptic style, he should try to emulate Pialat.

Also stop rating films. Ratings are absolutely meaningless. Fuck Letterboxd and IMDb.
