This is better than any Trek except maybe TNG at its peak mid seriesEven the first season, which is easily the weakest (even though Sinclair is the superior captain as far as I'm concerned) is better than most TrekSheridan did grow on me, and seasons 2-4 were possibly the best sci-fi TV I've ever watchedI say that as someone who loves all pre-2009 Trek except the TNG moviesThe last season was a little shaky. I didn't love the rogue psychic storyline, but I liked there were storylines setup and not paid off. Made it feel like a more complete, continuous universe. Are Crusade or the movies worth tracking down?
>>219389598Movies aside from Legend of the Rangers are generally worth tracking down. In The Beginning adds a lot to the Earth Minbari War story. Crusade is a mess, mainly because of the studio fucking it over. Gideon and Galen are great.
>that episode where dr Franklin thaws a woman out of a 200 year coma and immediately starts banging her
>>219389598how should I get into this show? And don't say start at the beginning. I tried and failed to get into DS9 a ton of times before I finally skipped to season 3 and it immediately grabbed me
>>219390063The first season is the weakest, but it isn't as weak as DS9 season one or anywhere NEAR as bad as TNG season 1The only episode I really think I would skip on a rewatch is in season 1, when Garibaldi's boxer friend shows up on the station. All others are at least watchableThe CGI is dogshit though, especially in season 1. If you can't get past that I'd skip the show honestly.
>>219390063The show is a novel for television so unfortunately you have to invest before collecting dividends
>>219389682Third Space is god-tier.
>>219389939You left out the part that she when into cryo right next to her husband who died before waking, so from her perspective it may as well have been the day after her husband died
>>219389598Could someone please give me a link to the show?
>>219389682>>219390369What I loved about this series most is that it was all planned out and mostly thought through beforehand. Like In The Beginning is an amazing prequel because it was always planned from the beginning. JMS wasn't just making up random shit and trying to get it to fit like all prequels now do. Crusade was planned but didn't turn out right. And Legends had the story but the execution was just not right at all
>>219390063I guess you could skip the pilot to season one episode five then episodes seven and eight where they loredump the earth minbari war but I wouldn't do it imo.
>>219395008The only thing I remember about the pilot that was kind of painful was that actress playing the second in command, but overall I wouldn't call it bad
>>219395109Fans enjoy it. But when introducing a new person to the series you almost always have to preface the first episodes and season or they won't give it a chance.
>>219389598>I didn't love the rogue psychic storylinePretty sure nobody likes that shit. Fuck Byron.
>>219395754Calm down Bester
>>219395109Literally removed from Babylon 5 entirely because she was Japanese.
>>219396679Is there a story here or what?
>>219389598B5 fans consider this!> season 1 (22hours) - hated by many fans (not me)> season 2 (22hours) - good> season 3 (22hours) - good> season 4 (22hours) - good> season 5 (22hours) - hated by most fans> the gathering (~2hours) - shit> in the beggining (~1.5hours) - good> rest of movies (~4hours) - shit> crusade (13 hours) - shit?> lotr (~1.5hours)en total> 65.5 hours - good> 64.5 hours - badresult: JMS kinda sucks?
>>219389598people love their console wars and are eager to pit B5 and Trek against each other, but if you've seen B5, it's clear as day, that JMS was a biiiig TOS fan, and that in a lot of ways B5 is trek's spiritual successor (until we get into the whole DS9 mess)
Why is S04E06 "Into the Fire" audio quality so bad?
