How is it that The Backrooms is having its first of many movies to come while the SCP Foundation still doesn't have any confirmed projects? Honestly, I thought the SCP Foundation would have at least a short series or something before The Backrooms :*/Not racist btw
SCP fucking sucks and is full of tranniesplus the licensing would be an absolute shitshow as its under creative commons

>>219398014The SCP website is a mix of different authors who may or may not have legally waived their rights by posting their stuff on the wiki. Not to mention the most famous SCP designs like 173 come from pictures that were used without the photograph's permission, and when that permission is given it's usually on the condition that there's no profit to have with it. Point is, it's a bit of a kerfuffle. Even if the website administrators are fully allowed to sell the rights to whoever they wish, I don't think producers want to take the risk to invest in an IP where they have zero leverage on the bulk of the authors, who might decide to protest, start suing them, or whatever. The Backrooms is a lot easier to manage. It's one post that is anonymous and therefore unclaimed. They only needed to get Kane in because he's the one who actually had a claim to the aesthetic and vibe they're going for.
>>219398014SCP fanbase is unuronically too autistic and also too gay (in the literal sense)Didn't "There is no Anti-Memetics Division" get a movie?
>>219398014Because literally all the popular SCPs were plagiarized from Doctor Who.
>>219398014There's some supposedly decent fan films, I haven't seen them though. The backrooms is kind of an experiment, maybe if it takes off they'll adapt more internet horror memes.
>>219398014Peele ripped off SCP to make NOPE. I’d be willing to bet you could find what he ripped off for US if you looked hard enough.
