>36 films to his name>literally half his filmography is him playing himself
>>219402508Gary Oldman is the same and everyone treats him like an all time great.
>>219402508That's why he's the most famous German
>>219402508Why do zoomers shame character actors then go watch people like Mr. Beast who just does the exact same shtick over and over too?
>>219402546>18 movies in which he is credited as "Himself"Can Gary Oldman make a similar boast?
>>219402625No one mentioned shaming or zoomers or mr beast, ya spaz.
>>219402682So I misunderstood and OP was implying what a good thing it is that Hasselhoff is a successful character actor instead of trying to make fun of him for playing the same character over and over?
>>219402851I thought it was an interesting anomaly. Not everything has to be good or bad, anon.
>>219403151Its not an anomaly though, it literally the character actor profession.
>>219402508Taylor Sheridan should cast him and Selleck as brothers in a new showLong brothers Terry and Lionel Horne run a ranch with Texas Longhorn
Good gig, I like Kung fury but it gets exhausting at the bonkers per minute gags.
>>219402508BEST VERSION OF THE CHARACTER AND BEST MARVEL CAPESLOP TO DATE BAR NONE.I think that alone counter-balances and slip ups in his career.
You don't Hassle the Hoff.
>>219407270We were robbed of this because of a stupid video of some guy eating a burger in the privacy of his own home.
>>219402508For me it's True Survivorhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTidn2dBYbY
>>219407591No one hassle's the Hoff!
>>219402578IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR FREEDOM
>>219402508>>219407591how many soundtrack credits has he got?
>>219402508is he still alive? i genuinely have no idea
>>219402508always laugh when he shows up for five seconds in dodgeball
He embedded himself into pop culture with two successful TV shows, to the point that studios started hiring him just to show his face in their movies without really doing anything. Just him being him became a marketable thing that he could sell. It's quite the accomplishment when you think about it.
>>219409262the TV launched the ridiculous music career which made him a double meme
>>219409274Were his songs any good?
>>219411764He's the second most well-known German songwriter after Beethoven
>>219412064In your opinion, is that musical fame legitimately earned or is he a famous actor who happens to make music, (eg Katy Perry is the second most famous astronaut because she was in orbit for 5 minutes as a rich persons novelty before immediately landing)
>>219402508He was in two relatively successful TV shows in the 80s and 90s and he became a major TV Hunk. The Famous in German World thing added a bizarre lore to him. I mean he basically does a sponsorship deal/commercial run every few years with some nod to any of his roles Knight Rider/Baywatch/German Popstar. That being said, it's been about 25 years since any of those properties has had a Hasselhoff remake. To Zoomers he's the guy who helped Spongebob.
>>219412808I'd think Yuri Gagarin, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin all have a slight fame notch over Katy Perry. It'd still put her in top 10 most famous astronauts in that context, those three guys though will be written about forever.
He should be in True Detective S5
>>219412916My point is Katy Perry isn't a real astronaut even if she technically meets the definition. Is Hasselhoff's music worth anything compared to Beethoven?
>>219413945Depends on how you're feeling. Sure Beethoven is great for certain feelings, but there's also a lot of space for synthy 80s trash pop. Like not everything is good for it's technical superiority and the only universal in music is UMG.
