If drama is not for you, perhaps a documentary or a zombie video game is more to your liking
>>

What if I want to experience the adrenaline that a zombie video game gives me BUT without having to play it, just watching the characters surviving?
>>

Watch Rust lets plays. Usually the streamers are organized players who manage long sessions by paying money to their pro teammates and crush everyone else on the server, so you should get your 2 hours of survival experience without too much drama

Thanks, anon. Have a great day.

PD: I still want to experience that in the big screen, I guess we'll have to wait until AI fires all this mediocre people to finally get true survival kinos.

I dont have a problem with some drama in a sci fi or post apocalyptic show/movie, if it is some conflict between waring factions, gangs, spy stuff, problem is that most of it now is emotionalslop and gay petty drama between characters and teenage angst

I really hate this shit and it's pervasive.

The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, The Expanse, BSG, LOST, all the way back to Star Trek Voyager
>oh no we're starving to death in this episode
>we had plenty of food last week and we'll have plenty next week though
>every bullet is precious this week
>we won't mention that next week when we fire 100,000 rounds
>we have suffered so many losses that our group is nearly extinct
>oh here's a bunch of new guys for the next battle
>we're on the other side of the continent from the next plot event
>thankfully we'll be there by the end of the episode (there'll be no sign of a time skip, often other characters will be having a conversation longer than our journey)

Writers do not care about this shit, at all. But the infuriating part is, they pretend they do. They'll look you dead in the eye and go "this is very real and important" and then never mention it again by the time the next episode rolls around.

It's the drama writing dna. Some writers are bookish types too influenced by writing school instead of focusing on the practicality of such a scenario

>I dont have a problem with some drama in a sci fi
>have technology beyond (current) human imagination
>can't fix the human reptile brain so people stop doing retarded things (aka, drama)
I remember when scifi was synonymous of crazy cool ideas for a cooler future, not *X retarded current thing but with neon fashion and spaceships*.

THIS. Fucking THIS!
I swear, this shows can be summarized in
>watch the first and last episode of each season
>5 minutes in its wikia to understand why some characters are missing or have appeared betwen both
>that's it all, you just know all and avoud wasting 5 hours of your life in slop
I don't know why nor where it started the show-mania, but 96% of all current shows could be easily turned into 1:30h films because: NOTHING HAPPENS for the most part.

The most vital thing in a TV show isn't the events that happen in the plot. It's how a middle-aged woman reacts and feels about the events happening in the plot. This is why Skylar is the linchpin of Breaking Bad, the whole show is meaningless without her.

I have to say, I never watched the show, many people have recommend me to watch it because "it's the best show ever", but knowing how those people are the most midwit normies ever, I knew this show was total slop.

>It's how a middle-aged woman reacts and feels about the events happening in the plot.
This and the cuck / cheat / simp scenes (I'm looking at you, Annihilation (2018)) are a plague, you can't watch a show or film without noticing them.
Even if you try the "watch old cinema, the good old days, the Golden Age of Hollywood", for no reason at all there is a cuck scene and the cucked guy MUST forgive this whorish wife or gf because that's "what a gentleman / christian man do".

Kek.
No wonder why north italians hate south italians so much, and why south italians hate sicilians so much.

>often other characters will be having a conversation longer than our journey
This drives me insane.

>characters begin discussion at home
>they speak 2-3 exchanges in transit
>they arrive hours later at their destination just in time to finish their 1-minute conversation
>>
>>219410166
>>219413095
What about the 'never finish the dessert' or 'brush the teeth BEFORE eating' cliches.

The biggest threats to the modern man's survival is workplace drama and home drama
>>
>>219414171
Perhaps this should change.

Also, what phobia was Hollywood with survival "feels good" / comfy / chill kinos?
>>
>>219408473
try The Terror S1. there is some supernaturalslop in there but the main crux of the series is being stranded in the arctic
