The aesthetic was cool, a Mr. Peanut robot was funny. The action was dull and the acting was typically weak for Chris and Millie. Could have been better if they got an actual teenager actress for the role, MBB just looks too old.

This. The TV show Amazon did was slightly better but still underwhelming. Goes to prove you can't translate an 'aesthetic' or a 'mood' into a franchise property. This is also why that backrooms movie will flop.
