I hate to sound like a broken record but movies and tv were so much goddamn better before. I watch movies even from recently as the early 2000s and there is such a noticeable difference in the way stories are told its insane. So many people complain about this or that being the reasons movies suck now but people rarely talk about the fact that just the way stories are told these days is so damn shit its crazy.

Seems about the same to me. You're being a bit dramatic.

Movies are extremely formulaic now. I'm not saying there wasn't a formula in the beforetimes - in good films the Hero's Journey - but there is definitely a Netflix cookie cutter feel to storytelling now. Unfortunately we're going to be dealing with the fallout of woke era bullshit for a very long time.
