The kids look fine. Emma Watson was way, way too pretty for the role (as described in the book) and has set unfair expectations, the new girl is cute and looks appropriate (and is not too dark). I expect the kids will be decent actors too, child actors have only gotten better as time has wore on. I imagine snApe will eventually win over the audiences just by the nature of the character (unless the guy is complete shit as an actor), so what will make or break this series is the writing/overall direction.
