Making a lefty struggle session with a video game skin is not an adaption. The Halo show has fuck all to do with the games besides the name, the Fallout show is just a way for Bethesda to retcon the shit they didn't write and the Borderlands movie was a vanity project. Uwe Boll made some awful video game movies but at least they didn't cost billions to produce and they were funny bad.

Maybe video games should be more video gamey and not CGI movies? Last of us is a great example, the whole “game” is a movie
