Almost. He definitely has good taste when it comes to the lore he adapts and the lore he doesn't, but he goes the monster route pretty frequently and that just doesn't need to be in there since the environment is so interesting.

I remember the very first weekend of shutdowns at the start of the pandemic. I went to Wal Mart on a Sunday at 3pm in the afternoon and the parking lot was completely empty and everything was closed even the smaller stores around it. Totally fucking empty on a fucking Sunday. It was fucking weird and at the time I remember thinking it was like the walking dead or that Langoliers movie where they land and go into that completely empty airport.

But looking back now it was a very similar feeling to the eerie emptiness of the Backrooms.

You don't, because a story can actually have an ending and doesn't need to go on and on.
>>
>>219443707
Unseen and mysterious though, that's what made it interesting. Adding a tonne of backstory and making something visible doesn't make it scary anymore, it just makes it boring.
>>
>>219437935
I am literally seeing backrooms everywhere I go now. The hallways in my apartment building. The underground parking structure. The local strip mall with the taco shop. I'm literally seeing backrooms everywhere. I don't know if that's good or bad. But it's certainly something.

>>219452458
That's not backrooms, it's liminimal space. It's a space that is temporary where you are only meant to passthrough or occupy it very brielf and not remain there.

I watched all those Kane Pixels videos on the weekend. The squiggle monster is stupid and all the "lore" about the company is uninteresting. The 45 minute long one that's 99% just a guy wandering around architecture that's not quite right and thinking he's found a way out when he talks to another guy like the reality planes are close enough for communication but aren't actually occupying the same place and being stuck there forever was decent but also could have done without the pointless monster.
