99% of cases in reality he is right and spot on but for the convenience of the film he is wrong in this one occasion.

the movie teaches you to distrust common sense

This. The movie wasn't about who was right, but about not being influenced by the riot mentality

>about not being influenced by the riot mentality
Fonda did that ten years prior with "The Ox-Bow Incident".

Fondas character--who was totally in the wrong--basically is just a criticism of the reality that a jury is impartial only in that they have no personal gain from voting one way or another, stuff like that.

but the point of a jury is that its random regular peoples opinions, regardless if it's racist or whatever. it's literally just their right to an opinion as a citizen.

it's not the job of a jury to argue how the case is being handled by the legal professionals or to introduce their own conjectures. that's retarded and undermines the whole system.

No Ivan reasonable doubt isn't a Jewish plot. No Ivan this isn't white guilt. No Ivan I don't want an authoritarian justice system where people are automatically guilty.
You've made this raid thread too many times.

Is this Ivan in the room with us?

It's just a movie. Are you watching movies hoping that they teach you something?
lmao
Pathetic

Naw he's still probably right for the film. There's some doubts but its mostly just undermining witness testimony that put him there, there's still nobody with more motive and means and the alibi is still shitty.
Its a great film despite the reality that shit should've immediately been a mistrial in the first act. Even ignoring how its specifically not the jury's job to start arguing the evidence itself but to just interpret how the lawyers have presented it to them, one of them snuck a fucking knife into the court house.
>oh the lawyer didn't want to heckle this old bat so he didn't do a basic trick of validating her eyesight to remove her credibility
>>
>>219443823
Yes, otherwise they wouldn't have made a movie about it
