Darth Maul died in The Phantom Menace. Why do they keep pushing the he’s still alive meme?
>>
>>219453218
They filmed one seasons and split it in half. Why do people still fall for this renewed for season 2 horseshit?
>>
>>219453345
What is the legal distinction between seasons? Season 6 of Sopranos was twice as long so they wouldnt have to renew contracts for the seventh season.

Why not make an entire never ending 1000 episode Season 1a 1b 1c, etc etc like breaking bad s5?

He Has A Metal Dick, but Mace and Qui-Gon are dead... makes no sense. Also couldn't they just get another devil alien instead of Mace? Like don't he have an orange brother or some shit?
>>
>>219453218
How did Luke with no leg survive the fall in ESB while Mace Windu survive with his entire body intact or how did Jar Jar survive being electrocuted...?
>>
>>219453218
They brought him back in The Clone Wars so it's been well over a decade now.

Disney hurry up and sell Star Wars
>>
>>219453218
Lucas revived him during the Clone Wars, it wasn't Disney or Filony
>>
>>219455497
Maybe he shouldn't have fucked up his own script then

>no leg
What
>>
>>219453218
Can't wait until Kathleen leaves so Star Wars can finally be great again

Because they lack the creativity, drive and boldness to try and go in any new direction. Introduce any new villain, conjure up any new threat, but because the generationt aht grew up with Maul now has disposable income somehow in this economy, its the only thing guaranteed to generate views.

She already left, the clone wars guy took over.
>>
Disney panders exclusively to Prequelsissies.
>>
>>219456595
They tried pandering to OT boomers but they realized they're either dead or dying lol.
Prequel is where the money is.
Why do you think Filony got like 5 different prequel shows approved.
>>
>>219456595
Those are the people that will still buy stuff and follow the franchise and show their kids the movies. The OT fans are either too old or left with TLJ never to return. Meanwhile you have an entire generation of adults now who grew up with... the Prequel trilogy, The Clone Wars, and Rebels. And now Filoni is continuing all of those in stories both before and after the OT.
>>
Wtf is this thread?
>>
>>219453218
It's a very freeing thing to be interested solely in the original trilogy, unfettered and unbothered by nebulous prequel fanfic silliness

>What is the legal distinction between seasons?
Legally? Well....Seasons were originally around 24 episodes long. This was done in order to sell the TV show for syndication. Once you hit a certain around 100 episodes, then TV stations around the world would pay good money to license the show and use it for daily re-runs.

But Paid Cable TV channels like HBO hated this and wanted to save money. So they gradually kept reducing episodes per season and justified it by saying their TV shows were "premium". Then Streaming services like Netflix came and they reduced the episode count even further because, legally, streaming services are a private company. They don't have to follow any TV rules or follow FCC guidelines. So if they call something a season, no one is gonna sue them if the episode count is low.

Modern TV has been trying to test the limits of how much viewers would tolerate with reduced episode counts per season. Now Disney is pushing the limits by only doing 5 to 6 episodes per "season".
