I dunno if Ready Player One is that good but on the otherhand I do not often see people discuss my favourite films so you may very not well be wrong.
>>
The one thing I never understood was, according to lore, not a single human being had ever explored The Shining level before. It had a key shown right at the start, so they'd see that. Like how would it be forgotten? It’s okay though. Movie is a banger.

This movie exists so Warner Bros could cynically renew all their IPs in a single film.

The book was decent nostalgia/wish fulfillment slop.
I knew it would be too cringe in movie format so I never bothered.
Holy shit was the second book bad, I got like 20 pages in before it was too cringe to continue.
I remember he did a reddit AMA shorty after the second book released and everyone was basically asking how he feels about his book being so derivative and cringy.
He answered one unrelated question before leaving.

>The book was decent

The book read like a teenager wrote it. Endless references and incel tier writing of characters
>>
>>219457928
Yes, and in the genre of nostalgia/wish fulfillment that's about as decent as they come.

One of those rare times the movie is better than the book.
