In a culture where shit like Annabelle and The Conjuring are seen as the gold standard for horror, the 28 Years films are to be commended for taking a different path. They're not entirely successful, they're a bit boring at times, also a bit woke, but I appreciate the effort to move away from the jump-scare slop that has come to dominate the genre.
