What's the tactical advantage of having a flamethrower mounted on your gunship?
>>
to burn stuff

I mean, it looks like it's working..

So you can light things on fire, from the air

to impress/scare blue cats

Until the enemy fires at you. Getting that close to your target kinda defeats the point of the gunship, especially when your enemy fires arrows the size of javelins that can easily pierce the canopy or destroy the engines.

It's a jungle planet anon, you clear bush with it.

>we're going to use these incredibly fragile and close range quadcopter things instead of just dropping a 500 lb bomb on the blue freaks or vaporizing them with a hellfire missiles from 10 miles away

If only humans had invented a more effective way of doing that... you know like something you can launch from a safe distance, that could start an even bigger fire.

But how else are you suppose to see the tears of the screaming natives as you burn down everything around them?

>we know where they're hiding, we know they use the fauna to their advantage. We do master interstellar space travels and can nuke their blue asses from orbit but let's attack them by sea again. That worked so well the last time

In the 1980s the Israelis were tired of the Palestinians throwing rocks at them so they rigged one of their helicopters to fire rocks back at them at high speed.

If it’s cool, do it

The old-fashioned, more cost-effective way.

>humans unleash agent orange on pandora and the blue freaks have to pray to Eywa to unleash a counter chemical that heals the planet, tune in for the next movie where evil humans attempt to harvest that chemical to revitalize the environments of pedo islands back on earth.

thats a purifier
those tree hug smurfs needed it,fire cleans barbarism

They want to colonize the planet. Not nuke it to be even more inhabitable for humen beans than it already is. Staying on earth is already worse option than avatar planet. Now make it radiated planet and is no good. They don't have time to find another planet. It is hopeless to try to search one in time.
>>
>>219464257
I said nuke but the point was using a big boom projectile. Even something like the modern MOAB would do the trick. You also don't need to use them on the whole planet, just on that tiny village.

Its a big planet, the natives only inhabit a miniscule part of it. Irradiating their villages is inconsequential
