Anyone else fooled into thinking the Parking Garage episode was actually shot in a parking garage? I was. Was just watching it and got curious where the mall was. Figured it was filmed in LA somewhere, but no. It’s built on the same soundstage at CBS in Studio City, CA, only with all the usual sets and audience seating removed. They used a laugh track. It just sounded and looked so much like a real garage. Neat.
The whole concept that sitcoms used to be shot in front of live audiences was just a precursor to modern reaction content.
