This is secretly Tarantino's best. Definitely better than Inglorious Basterds

Kill Bill (the whole bloody affair) is still his best but Django is the next best of his 2000s work. Basterds has good individual scenes but is overall weak. Kill Bill really feels like a personal movie where Quentin is working out his daddy issues and it feels a lot more like his opus for this reason. Its also the best showcase of his writing because the un-realness of the assassin world makes his overwriten dialogue work the best stylistically, where as all of his other 2000s movies have a more distinct uncanny feeling where you always sort of see the actors acting, or it “feels like a scene in a Tarantino movie”, where as Kill Bill is more seemless. Django is good though, its literally the only time he actually delivered a solid 3-act linear heroes journey in the runtime of a single film.

>a solid 3-act linear heroes journey
what about the 4th act after Schultz dies that ruins the whole movie
>>

Is we getting another slave porn blockbuster 2026
>>
>>219468365
How does it ruin the movie

>Basterds has good individual scenes but is overall weak
That's how I feel about Django
>>

Worst tarantinos on par with kill bill
>>
easily his worst
>>
>>219468601
Why? Django promises little (action revenge western) and delivers perfectly, where as Basterds promises a much bigger statement with its many bold storytelling choices and ultimately amounts to not much.

Its good until it falls apart in the 3rd act because Tarantino had to force a big bloody shootout

>Waltz out of nowhere turns into a complete fucking retard
>The outsmarting the slavers thing is dumb as fuck
>Tarantino, as always, is a fucking awful actor as the slaver
>>
>>219467918
his perennial number one will always be Kill Bill (1 and 2 together it's one movie). but yes I put django as number 2 tied with pulp fiction.
>>
>>219468329
Agreed. Basterds is really overrated and doesn't telling a compelling story as a whole. The bar segment mogs the rest of the movie by far. Django is entertaining beginning to end though

Jackie brown cause it's the only one that's not try hard
>>
>>219467918
You reckon Tarantino sucked on Jamie Foxx's toes?
>>
>>219467918
Django Unchained is pure cringe aside from Leo's performance
>>
Kill Bill
>what if women were better warriors than men?

Inglorious Basterds
>what if jews brutally massacred nazis for sport in WW2 instead of the opposite?

Django Unchained
>what if a black man killed all the white slavers in confederate America, instead of whites ending slavery amongst themselves?

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood:
>what if a Hollywood stuntman beat up Bruce Lee, instead of the opposite?
>what if Hollywood people massacred the Manson family, instead of the opposite?

Tarantino's output after Jackie Brown is the cinematic equivalent of a nine year old kid writing a story about beating up his older brother.

>>219467918

Inglorious Bastards has like 3 good scenes, and I think they're all in different languages. Im a /pol/tard but can appreciate movies. Django was great
