jon ham is kind of a shit actor
>>
>>219469067
Don is an uninteresting character played by a bad actor and it makes Mad Men a bad show
>>
>>219469094
He doesn't think about you at all.
>>
>>219469179
Fucking this

I never cared for this show just because Don sucked as a character. Like they were trying to go for a Tony Soprano/Walter White anti villain but just made a bland as fuck character

Jon Hamm is a great actor, hes acted with Sarah Gadon. You are a jealous cuck.
>>
>>219469094
he's ok, but he really suffered from the success of being cast in his perfect role. So subsequent ones are like watching Jon Hamm play Don playing the role
>>
>>219469454
Nah, he was great as Jon Hamm in Curb.
>>
>>219469238
It's a show for housewives to imagine they are one of Don's mistresses
>>
>>219469238
Well Mathew Weiner was a producer on The Sopranos
>>
>>219469421
wtf is up with her face???

It's Canadian unfortunately.

I've watched madmen but I don't remember this scene at all, is it very early in the show? Is it on youtube?

MIRVs are based, and hollywood writers are faggots.
>>
>>219469238
I enjoy the show but Don is probably the least interesting major character in it. Pete mogs.
>>
>>219469067
This episode never made sense to me.
Why was a consumer products advertising executive invited to a defense industry conference?
No shit he had a breakdown, dude was completely out of his element and his whole persona was "fake it till you make it". He couldn't fake it anymore.
>>
>>219469067
I thought he was worried about failing his security clearance because he wasn't really Don Draper.
>>
>>219469517
You've gone way over your appetizer allotment.

Is there a better OTP on /tv/ than

and

What season + episode?

I love Sarah Gadon

Well yeah he is a CIA asset not an actor.

based retard who thinks all the HBO shows are the same
>>
>>219469913
>Why was a consumer products advertising executive invited to a defense industry conference?
America is just advertising anon, it is the entire point of their empire. To fill the power gap post ww2 by saying they are filling the power gap culturally. That is the entire point of the series.
>>
>>219469094
his black mirror episode is great
>>
>>219469067

Don Draper sucked. I stayed for Roger, Pete, and Harry Crane kino thoughever
>>
>>219469293
>basedjack comic
>not realizing that 4chan's "based" was taken entirely from a sub-room temp IQ nigger
>>
I love Don Draper because he's a flawed fake fraud nigga just like me.
I wish I looked like him tho. Would make my life waaaay easier.
>>
>>219469238
Draper is plenty interesting and it's ultimately about the story of a guy who is externally the perfect straight man who sold out in 60s New York but is also at his heart an artist who wants to do acid and be cool. But still goes into his Midtown office through the 60s to come up with corporate jingles.
Draper is by every means as good as White or Soprano and Hamm is a great actor for the role cause he's so good at that mix of deadpan, boring looking white guy and straight man.

He may seem like a straight man sometimes but in reality it's a weird character to play: he has mindfucked himself/cucked himself so badly and for so long that he no longer knows who he really is. The fake persona and the real have gotten too blurred. Despite being an identity thief who tricked Roger into giving him his job, he doesn't know if he wants to be a family man or keep cheating. Be an executive who cares about power or be a hippie wanderer. Just a white guy who's a bit broken.
>>
>>219469336
a gurning prop
>>
>>219469179
the feminism is why mad men is a bad show
>>
>>219477915
this is exactly why I found him so fascinating in the show and why I continue to find him fascinating to this day.

It also works very well when you consider that he's effectively a walking metaphor for the dysfunction at the core of America, whilst simultaneously being a high flying participant in the advertising world which is directly complicit in that same dysfunction. They really don't make shows like this anymore.
>>
>>219477915
>>219480122
I'm still pissed that the ending has him returning to the ad world though, I maintain that they really should've gone with the D.B. Cooper idea.
>>
>>219469293
I agree with the sentiment but you shouldn't have included the Trump bit, now it just looks like you got triggered because someone criticized Drumpf rather than being sick of the phrase 'crashing out'
>>
>>219469913
If I remember correctly, Peggy explained it to the ad agency. The armament company was creating a product, and the American politicians were their customers, so it was Don's job to sell it to them.
>>
>>219469913
Don was a combat veteran, it's not like he was a total newfag on military subjects
>>
>>219472805
He should have taken her up on her offer.
>>
Stan and Ken I wish got more screen time.
>>
>>219476376
why do you think nobody used that word outside of this mongolian weaving basket forum you faggot
>>

>now it just looks like you got triggered because someone criticized Drumpf rather than being sick of the phrase 'crashing out'
Cannot wait for Trump-jokes to end. It's been like decade, I hate the retard too but there are zero actual jokes left, humor has to move on.
>>
>>219481602
Ken is the best.
>>
>>219482870
he is and he isn't honestly
>>
>>219469094
He can do 2 or 3 faces, gets away with it because his jawline
>>
>>219469421
you just know he penetrated her with his giant cock
>>
>>219469094
He's better than 90% of all actors, but compared to his peers (actors getting roles in big productions) he's kinda shit yeah.
>>
>>219476289
John Slattery should've played Don and John Hamm should've stayed irrelevant doing commercials.
