The Fellowship of the Ring is in a league of its own.
I think it's an almost perfect movie, I doubt that's a controversial take. Just for something fun to talk about, if you had to change ONE thing, what would it be?

Do you think LotR would have benefitted from the series format? I don't mean Rings of Power, I mean LotR as it was back then, Peter Jackson, same production, same actors and so on, but more screen time.

>>219479539I am no longer able to force myself to watch Two Towers and Return of the King.The feel like a slog with no wonder component that made Fellowship so great.In Fellowship we go from peaceful green hills of Hobbiton to rainy dirty Brill, to swampy Eregion, to beautiful autumn Rivendell, to snowy peaks of Caradhras, to dark mines of Moria to golden Lothlorien to forests of Anduin.In Towers it is just grass steppes for 3 hours.Same with Return.And the characters barely travel, they just talk and fight.Surely story beats are here but between them are rather boring parts.Fellowship feel the only one worthy of watching.It is 10/10, while TT and Return are like 6/10.
