The logical thing humans would do would be to try to eliminate meta-humans from existence if they couldn't enslave them.Tony Start is a capitalist so really he's just an opportunist that only believes in himself, so it makes sense he'd just capitulate to social contract. Cap believes in something beyond himself (even if that something is "libertarian" imperialism, which is really all American culture is), so of course he isn't just going to roll over and become a dog for Joe Shmo. While Tolkien was right about the importance of ordinary folks, the issue is the ones that ARENT useful when the time comes are pretty detrimental to civility, and to a higher quality of life in general.
