Is Adventureland an accurate depiction of the wagie lifestyle? I’ve only worked real jobs.
>>
Never seen it
Trailer looked OK but it has that weasely jew in it.
Is it worth sticking through the jew or not.

Waiting is a semi OK estimate of a shitty wagie job (comedy)

It's a good movie but basement dwellers won't get it

I remember renting this movie with a couple of friends from high school thinking it was gonna be just like Super Bad, easily one of the most disappointing movies I saw as a teen.

I turned it off when I realized the plot was gonna be Jessie Eisenberg pining for KStew while she fucks Ryan Reynolds.

great soundtrack

Reminder Woody Allen's Cafe Society is basically a remake of this movie with the same actors but in a different setting.

It is when you and your co-workers young. There is this feeling that the job sucks but there is a feeling you’ll do better things in your life, Jesse Einsenberg’s character is basically at the tale end of that since he’s graduated college and hasn’t gotten laid. Of course this movie is fiction since that’s impossible

Has anyone here ever played one of the characters in a theme park?

It could have been a fun teen-to-adulthood story that takes place in good setting (a neat local amusement park), but they turned it into a cuck story. Had a lot of potential, but it just isn't worth watching.

It’s anti-climax the movie. The cuck storyline is completely uninteresting and empty.

Even then KStew was giving off strong I don't like dick vibes.

When she was banging the older guy from the amusement park? The most accurate depiction of trusting someone with something private and they immediately tell everyone.

Cool, havent seen it but do remember it getting buzz on the movie review tv shows. I remember seeing reviews for movies I wouldn't be able to watch because I didnt have money.

Wrong. Both have different facets of growing up. Superbad is just funnier. The song, dont dream its over, is worth the price of admission alone.

Cool it with the antisemitism. Israel is committing a genocide but that is no reason to lump everyone together. Yes, I like Jesse as a hapless youth trying to make it and falling for kstew. It could easily be me.

Never watched this because I can't stand Eisenberg

Sort of, albeit a little dialled up. It’s definitely a good representation of an outsider integrating into a group of “friends” in parts, Reynolds is a really good douchebag bf. Bill Hader is funny but probably too cartoonish, almost to the detriment of the movie but it probably needed that comic relief. Pretty poorly marketed though, it was made to look much more comedy than it actually is.
KStew is my love as always.

Martin Starr is the most underrated actor of the last 30 years. Kind of hate that he keeps getting typecast because he has a lot of range.
