Portlandia feels like the swan song of satirical comedy as a genre.
Millennial, self-aware comedy was so cringe, so it's a good thing it's died out. Can't say that zoomer woke comedy what's replaced it is any better; both were a sign that we were losing our sense of humour: rather than making jokes, we just make fun of ourselves, followed by: rather than making jokes, we just say something that's hurtful and unfunny.
