Everything people praise PotC for applies to this film: it's a great big colourful swashbuckling adventure, with loads of cool action and stunts, good character writing and music, beautiful scenery and decorations. Plus, unlike PotC the romance subplot is actually good and the 2 leads have chemistry.

It's funny that 2 of the 3 leading Spanish characters in this are played by the Welsh. They really are indistinguishable from Meds when given a bit of a tan.
