the movie should have been set in the late 70s and giving the slasher a gay demon voice was also a shitty decision.

May be the worst movie I've seen in years. Wife and I nearly walked out of the theatre.

This is one of those movies whose shittiness hurts extra bad, because there are good things in it, so it being so fucking stupid makes it feel extra wasteful. The director is apparently some belligerent guy with a spicy reputation too kek, the kind of asshole you'd expect to make a film like this.
More for venting purposes than for discussion's sake (this movie is not worth discussing), I'm gonna post what I liked and didn't like about it

Also I forgot to add something that annoyed me extra hard.
The protagonist had her spouse killed and is on a cop on a revenge quest. Okay.
Why are like 40% of her scenes exposition dumps and trying to convince other cops how what she's reporting is totally real? Where is their skepticism coming from? Why does she have to say "this is not a prank call" as she's heading to the plant? It's like they copied things from other movies, in which such behaviour made sense because the protag was being pursued by the police themselves or something, but it makes 0 sense in this one.
I don't understand how someone can hate their protagonist so much that they write their scenes in this way. I guess the director wanted to stick it to the brown woman DEI hire and focus on the cool metal killer guy.
But holy fuck it makes for a really bad movie.
