i don't think it is the kind of book that would adapt well to a visual format.
After 2 Passion 2 Christ, Mel needs to start.
Suttree was his best book. After reading Child of God and learning about the Epstein connection with the Santa Fe Institute that McCarthy was known to frequent, can't really look at the guy the same way anymore which is a shame to his literary legacy.
>>219505738>The Road got a kino movieWhen
>>219505738>child of god got a shitty movieAs will blood meridian
>>219505738The Road's adaptation was bad. Unless Blood Meridian is a trilogy it's not gonna be good.
>just found out McCarthy had a 14 year old gfwtf

>>219506055It's not that it's unfilmable like people say. The story is fairly straightforward. The problem is what makes the novel is its wording and prose, the way thing and events are described. You lose that in a movie unless you have constant narrator, which doesn't always work.
>>219505738Its being made currently
>>219505919Just make all the main characters women and gay.
>>219506230Where do you think he got his ideas?
>>219513435Got a source? Another anon he was connected to Epstein through the Santa Fe Institute.
>>219505738It's illegal to make movies with that much toxic masculinity now.
>>219520241she was 16, but yeah
>>219523863i mean, wouldnt BM be a case precisely against "toxic masculinity"..?
>>219514285I don't think it needs a narrator and a lot of the prose could be translated into cinematography.
this should be adapted to film
>>219506230Lack of nuance. Epstein was heavily involved with the esoteric just as McCarthy was. People forget Epstein had an office at the chemistry department of Harvard.https://youtu.be/Qidyx3oXqpY?
>>219524491It seems like everyone prevalent in their field today is on it. I remember Oprah raved about Cormac McCarthy and featured him on her show to promote his books.
