I think it's time to discuss LEGENDARY KINOMAS! Do you have a favorite KINOMA? Does your town have any INCREDIBLE KINOMAS?Pic related: The Oriental Theater (KINOMA) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Another angle of the GREAT ORIENTAL KINOMA
Even the lobby of the great KINOMA oozes with KINO! It's the perfect lobby to get you ready to watch KINOS!
The KINO Chandelier to light the path to a great KINO
inb4 some KINOlet tries to claim their "home theater" is a KINOMA. It ain't shit except a media room
>>219506547>>219506571White its not like christian blasphemy its really a fucking disrespectful anthesis to have statues of the buddha while doing something as idle as watching a movie, The movie subject adds to this disrespect as well.
>>219507216ain't nothing blasphemous about decorations
>>219510685wait until you find out about the BUDDHA BAR (not part of the Oriental Theater)(pic unrelated)
Love the front of old theaters famalams
What matters in a movie theaters is seating, space and sound, all else is vain decoration you can't see in the dark anyways. That being said, my hometown had a nice spaceman themed cinema in the 90s that exited into a space themed restaurant, as in you'd finish your movie and immediately be greeted into a place you could have dinner or coffee and discuss it, no pics though it got destroyed in '99.
>>219515655Usually, they call it "dinner and a movie," not "movie followed by dinner."
>>219506547I knew a small town that had it's own movie theater, but they demolished it and replaced it with some extension to the elementary school next door: modernist, glass, abstract and not very kewl. A fucking tragedy in my opinion.
>>219517703eh, it makes more sense my way. Even the local kinema in my city has a combo deal with the steakhouse next to it you can use anytime on the same day as your movie ticket. If you eat before the movie there's really no point to the movie besides killing the momentum of your date/get-together with friends.>>219517855Same, the place I was talking about got torn down for some office space. Although fifteen years later the town ponied up for a huge kinoplex with 15 projection rooms instead of the three the old one had. By that time I had moved out though.
RIP to this majestic KINOMA.
A legendarily SUCKY anti-KINOMA
Imagine if they'd converted it into a KINOMA
