Fuck Primer. It exists just to make you go "huh?". That was the entirety of the directors' intentions

I was watching this movie called Revolver, which was about con artists and this mysterious figure Sam Gold. But the thing is Sam Gold doesn't turn out to be the MC like the Usual suspects. It turns out the entire movie is actually a psychological thriller, and it's about the protagonists Ego blocking his progress

Funny to see this thread because I literally just had AI explain the plot of The Big Lebowski to me.
>>
I also came in here to Primerpost

Riddle me this, they always steal the town's bike and the lawyer who bails them out is always a kike, who am I?

I remember watching some Noir film from the 40s. It was about a grizzled and jaded detective (obviously) hunting down a serial thief that he later learns is also a killer. The film has incredible atmosphere but the twist comes out of nowhere and makes no sense to the first 2 acts (it was his former partner, who he confides in via phone calls and telegram) and it turns out he's been following the detective despite it making no sense as there are scenes where he's stalked by the killer right after speaking to him on the phone at a hotel, and it's shown the former partner was at home. The whole film is full of shit like this.

If anyone knows what it is I'd love to watch it again to see if it makes more sense after knowing the twist but it certainly didn't seem to.

The Game fucking baffles me. The big twist at the end makes no hecking sense. It was leaning that way all through the film, but I put it out of mind because it would be too obvious and suck. But then they went there. I just don't understand making the film when the ending is so disastrous.

I understand the first 80% of it and get how the time travel works, then when the party scene happens and the guy makes 40 versions of himself I just get completely lost

They literally tell you in the beginning that it’s all just a game. There’s no twist.

I got stoned af and went to Project Hail Mary and I was PISSED. The nonlinear storytelling baffled me and I couldn't follow it at all. Hated it and said it would flop.
Gave it another try without the weed and that movie is not confusing, lord no.

Simple explanation:
>two men try to make a box that reduces the mass of objects inside it
>the box gets moldy at a rate that doesn’t make sense
>explanation: they accidentally built a time machine
>they make a bigger version of it (as well as a backup box) where they can fit inside
then they do this every day:
>drive two cars to a storage unit where they keep the box
>turn it on
>drive to a different town (so they don’t accidentally run into their doubles) and book a hotel room
>stay in the hotel room for half the day
>drive over to the library and use their computer lab to find the best performing stock of that day
>drive back to the storage unit
>climb inside the “B” side of the box
>go to sleep inside
>wake up in the “A” side of the box 15 minutes after the machine was initially turned on
>invest in the stock they picked
>drive away in the 2nd car and go about their day
but then:
>guy #1 secretly made a third version of the box and put it in another storage unit
>he uses it to gain an advantage in life. we writes down and records audio tape of his interactions with people so he knows the optimal way to handle these situations— most notably, a situation of stopping a would-be shooter and becoming a hero
>guy #2 freaks out about all the time travel implications, and secretly turns on their backup machine, returning to a point in time before they accidentally made the time machines
>except… guy #1 beat him to the punch
>the two of them start fighting, and eventually end their friendship
>guy #1 moves to a different country where he leads a team to build more boxes
