Was thinking about marathoning this. What will I think of it?
>>
Pretty sure some anon said its complete shit and only the 1st and last episode is worth watching.
Not seen it myself as its capeshit so take that as you will.
>>
first season is kino
>>
>>219512998
Second isn't tho?
>>
The show as a whole is interesting but brain damage inflicts the screen in the third season with a "rape" plot line that makes no sense:
>villain mind rapes your gf
>you unrape her mind and have sex with your gf
>you're accused of rape

if you want a stylish vibes arthouse etc. show it's definitely worth a watch for the first season. Then after that stop whenever you feel like it

First season is kino, other ones aren't as good, but theyre ok
>>
Does this show actually have anything to do with the capeshit movies or is it some kind of self contained thing?
>>
>>219513804
It's not linked to anything else.

I absolutely loved the first two seasons and hung in for the third and the conclusion. Third fell off a bit, but I still enjoyed it. It’s just about the closest thing there is to a modern take on “The Prisoner.” I personally believe that practically everything that takes place beyond the first season is taking place in David’s head/the Astral Plane, but given that we’re talking about telepathic warfare, I still think it qualifies as real.

Starts good, goes off on a retarded feminist tangent
>>
>>219514486
Is the first season kino enough that the later season drop off will make me big mad?
>>
>>219514486
This, but it is good enough to still keep watching it, desu
The finale is kino if you manage to get past Syd's character getting ruined
>>
>>219514524
Honestly you can watch just the first season
It was in the era where fx would fail to renew shows, so it's fairly self contained
>>
>>219514486
>love the first season
>love the fact that Syd is actually strong, but supportive
>drop the show after the episode where she endlessly torments David, making him watch her entire life over and over just because fuck him, I guess

My favorite part is the innocent man who goes to jail for child molestation.
>>
farouk is kino personified

Which X-man fucks to this?

Interesting experiment while it fucking annoys me that only season 1 is on Bluray!!!FACT!!!
>>
>>219513804
for a character that's literally xaviers son, the show has nothing to do with actual x-men anything. Also it's mostly pseudo-intellectual midwit bait that's not very cleverly written
>>
>>219512854
Season 1 is absolute kino incarnate. One of the best shows ever made if you take it as a one season mini-series

Unfortunately season 1 was so good they made season 2, which was watchable but makes you hate women and simps more than you ever thought possible, and season 3, which is a few 10/10 amazing scenes inserted into an absolute dogshit plot.
>>
>>219512854
it's worth a watch, gets very weird but it never gets as terrible as other anons make it out to be
>>
>>219515797
My favorite part was how the innocent man who went to jail for life was still somehow supposed to make us feel bad for syd for ruining his life. I fucking hate feminists. Their writing shows just how insane their mindset truly is
>>
I have a love/hate thing with Noah Hawley but Legion is worth watching all the way through, even if the quality is pretty uneven and a lot of the ideas do not work

she isn't supposed to be a good person

for real
>fall in love with a pretty girl in an insane asylum
>she turns out to be crazy

It's kino that really only suffers with the rare misuse of CGI for action sequences and the Native-American character and actress who are both fucking atrocious, but are also used very rarely.
Great if you enjoy a show that begins already knowing the story it's intending to tell and ends properly as a result. A lot of great performances across the board, notably in Dan Stevens, Aubrey Plaza, Jean Smart, Bill Irwin, Jermaine Clement, and Navid Negahban.

I love it.
First season is great
Second season falters a bit but it's worth for the antagonist's performance alone
Third season is almost as good as the first, the antagonist is still there still being great, and also it has my favorite live action interpretation of Charles Xavier.

Great music too

But very idiosyncratic. May put off some people.
>>
>>219522421
No one in the show is a good person. Sure, some are outright evil, but even the good guys are all fundamentally broken people.

Except maybe Xavier, but even his past self learns of what he does in the future about David, and recognizes it was a terrible moral failing. But then, he sets out to remedy it./spoiler]
>>
>>219512854
It's kino, all three seasons.
>>
>>219512998
>>219513452
I can also attest to adoring the first season but havent seen the rest since I was checking it out of the library.
>>
>>219514027
Should I finish watching the prisoner before season 3?
