>>219517289I'd be interested in seeing a comparison of the last words of soldiers organized by age. It's quite understandable that an 18 year old soldier who joined up right out of high school would cry out to his mother, because he was living with her until just a few months before and has basically no real life experiences. But what about an older soldier? I feel like a soldier in his 30s or 40s would be more likely to speak of his wife or children in his dying moments, or perhaps make some religious statement.
