The 70s and 80s were wild because all of Hollywood was on drugs. The good kind and not the faggy depression kind they are on now. It was routine in these kinds of movies for teenage girls to do nudity and sex scenes. It was the whole point of the movie. The hook that pulled in the vastly male audience. The actresses were (mostly) over 18 but the characters were definitely younger. Eventually the high school students were all magically 18 and characters under 18 were missing from the plot entirely. By the mid 90s all these high school setting were changed to college. The teenage characters were all played by 25 year olds and characters under 18 would barely kiss onscreen. I hope I live long enough to see the trend swing back.
