It's honestly obnoxious how hit or miss the cases are. I get that they want to stick their realism shtick and not have every episode's cases be overly obvious sources of drama and thematic storytelling, but so many of the cases are just time wasters with barely any point and, worse, the guest actors tend to be horrible. Some are great, sure, like the parents of the braindead kid from season 1 (the mom was from other shows I've seen, like that Mike Flanagan vampire show). But a lot of em are garbage and stick out like sore thumbs. Just reminds me of the bear season 3 in many ways with how poorly it uses its time.

The show always had a left wing bias, even in s1 but that bias is so much more blatant and preachy in the second season it becomes a bit annoying and forced. There seems to not really be any way near as much of a medical focus this season. Which is inevitable as they cant just keep doing the same thing over and over but they should have had s1 tie up a bit better so the show could have rested as a one season miniseries rather than being continued an infinitum. I still have enjoyed s2 , but it is weaker than s1 from a long margin. The show has gone from a 8/10 to a 6/10.
